Pine Tar is a thick, gooey pitch which comes from Pine Trees.  It has a strong smoky, woodsy, leathery smell.   It is the scent my husband says he smells when he goes to the woods.

Pine tar has been used for many years by homestead soap makers to aid in resolving dry skin issues as well as with a variety of other skin conditions.   According to Healthline.com, Pine Tar is sometimes recommended for the topical treatment of eczema, psoriasis, seborrhoeic dermatitis and other dry, itchy, flaky or inflamed skin conditions.  While we do not claim that our soap will heal any skin condition such as these, this soap certainly is soothing to itchy skin.  It lathers extremely well and feels like silk gliding on.

Our Pine Tar soap has a very strong scent that is loved by many, especially our male customers who enjoy outdoor activities. For that reason, we call it our “manly soap,” although a number of women also enjoy using it as well.  Pine Tar soap is a great soap to use when you want to mask your scent for outdoor activities.  This soap does not have any additional essential oils or fragrances, only the natural scent of Pine.

Ingredients: Olive oil, coconut oil, pine tar, castor oil, water, sodium hydroxide and sodium lactate
